NORDMA’s sister organisations in other countries

We work in a visible and international industry. That means that national borders lose their significance and that European direct marketers are active in offering their products and services in markets other than their home markets. For this reason, our industry and our methods are under constant surveillance from the European authorities.

NORDMA is a member of the Federation of European Direct Marketing (FEDMA), which is a trade organisation at European level. FEDMA employs a number of full-time lobbyists to work vis-à-vis both the European Commission and other decision-making and influential bodies in the EU system. As an example, the new Personal Data Act inNorway arose on the basis of a directive from the European Commission. NORDMA maintains close contact with FEDMA, enabling it to remain ahead of the Norwegian authorities.
